Aside from actually building or remodeling a home, one practice that is very “green” (as well as very economical!) is investing in pre-owned household items such as cabinets, fixtures and furniture that is vintage or antique. These items are typically made well and can fit into almost any style home either as they are or with a little bit of ingenuity.
